Coil coating has clear advantages over individual coating: it is an ongoing process without interruptions. Due to the roller application process, there are effectively no paint losses Thus, the material consumption is significantly reduced. At the same time, coil coating also results in a visually perfect finish in consistent quality. In short: coil coating is a better coating process from both economical and qualitative perspectives.

The European Coil Coating Association (ECCA) has set itself the aim of promoting the use of coil coated metal as an environmentally-friendly, cost-efficient and high quality surface finishing process.  As a member of the ECCA, Brillux Industrial Coatings works with the creators of norms in order to continually improve quality standards in the coil industry. Coil coating companies, steel and aluminum manufacturers as well as service centers are organized in the ECCA alongside paint manufacturers, research institutions and suppliers form the chemical industry and plant manufacturers.

Through the addition of a highly modern coil coating mixing plant in the Unna factory, even higher quality standards, production speeds and flexibility can be achieved in coatings production. This allows us to respond to customer needs faster and more dynamically, especially in vibrant color shades and fluctuating production runs. In particular, constant color values can be produced with more stability for subsequent orders. The new mixing plant can be operated fully automatically, semi automatically, manually or a combination of all of these options depending on the type of order. This allows high flexibility, specific to the respective order and thus accelerates production – also through the use of high quality semi-processed products produced in the Unna plant. Shorter delivery times also arise from the fact that the mixing plant is an additional plant rather than the replacement of other production capacity. Extra production capacity. can be created for coil customers every year from this plant.
