A New Approach to Powder Coatings – For Efficiency, Quality, and Future-Proofing The new standard is low-temperature (LT)

Rethinking the powder coating range – for efficiency, quality and future-proofing
The new standard is low temperature (NT)
Brillux Industrial Coatings is converting the entire core range of powder coatings to low temperature (NT) – consistently, systematically and without any compromise in quality or compliance with standards.

The full range. Everything from a single source.
Powder coatings, wet coatings, coil coatings: Brillux Industrial Coatings stands for industrial coating solutions that go beyond individual products and function as a system – from application to process optimization.

Next Level: The complete NT powder coating range
What was previously considered an addition or special solution is now standard at Brillux Industrial Coatings: All powder coatings from the previous core range are now designed as NT systems. Not selectively. Not gradually. But across the entire standard range. This creates clarity, planning reliability and new scope in the process.

NT powder coatings: true future-proofing for coaters

Rising energy prices, CO₂ requirements and high time pressure shape everyday coating operations. NT powder coatings from Brillux give you the choice: reduce energy consumption or increase productivity – with a single core range. You decide which lever is right for your business:

Lowering the temperature means:

  • less energy consumption
  • lower CO₂ footprint
  • reduced thermal stress on components

Keeping the temperature the same means:

  • shorter curing times
  • higher line speed
  • increased output

Consistently thought through

Brillux Industrial Coatings is making NT the standard in the entire core powder coating range. For you, this means: less complexity and clear process structures – especially advantageous with changing components and series.
The quality remains consistently high. Because at Brillux, NT means:

  • high corrosion protection
  • high mechanical durability
  • excellent UV and weather resistance
  • very good flow for high-quality surfaces

With GSB and Qualicoat approvals, the products also reliably meet standard-related requirements. Formulated to be overbake-stable, NT powder coatings tolerate longer curing times or higher temperatures – without visual or functional losses. This reduces rejects and secures your series production.

Less complexity. Full quality. Maximum process reliability.

Wide range of applications and new possibilities

A lower curing temperature also means more design freedom. NT powder coatings expand the application range of powder coating – especially for sensitive or demanding components. The reduced thermal load opens up new possibilities – especially where high temperatures have previously been a limiting factor:

  • Aluminum alloys
  • Suitable plastics (in combination with appropriate pretreatment)
  • Components with widely varying material thicknesses

The advantages are obvious: Less thermal stress reduces component distortion, improves dimensional stability and increases process reliability. This makes powder coating attractive for additional economically viable applications.
There is also measurable potential for thick-walled components: With a material thickness of 20 mm, reducing the object temperature

  • from 180°C to 160°C shortens the heating time by 52%,
  • from 180°C to 150°C by 61%.

This saves time and energy – especially for heavy components.

FAQ – Frequently asked questions about low-temperature powder coatings:

Modern NT powder coatings from Brillux Industrial Coatings achieve a surface quality that matches the performance of previous powder coatings. This includes very good flow, a uniform coating appearance and high visual value.eit.

Yes. Terms such as “Low Bake” or “energy-efficient powder coatings” are often used synonymously. NT powder coatings refer to powder coating systems with reduced curing temperature and/or shortened curing time.

In most cases, the conversion is straightforward. Existing systems can continue to be used. Depending on the goal (energy savings or productivity increase), oven parameters are adjusted or deliberately maintained. Brillux Industrial Coatings supports you with fine-tuning.

Yes. Selected NT powder coatings from Brillux Industrial Coatings are equipped with GSB and Qualicoat approvals. For customer-specific factory standards, the conversion is carried out in coordination between processors and Brillux and after appropriate approval.
